Human Dignity and the Image of God
We seem to instinctively know that humans, ourselves and others, have an intrinsic value. But how do we know that? Is it because of a certain job they do? Because of how they look? Maybe because of what value they provide to us. All of these fall short of creating an intrinsic value. That kind of value can only be ascribed by an external source.
